In the city of Casablanca, every day at around 3-4am in the morning, local mosques play the Koran real loud to let the residents know the beginning of the first worship of the day, that woke us up sleeping at a hostel every morning. Ok, it was exotic.
It was not until the day before our flight from Barcelona to Casablanca that we realized that there are not many tourist attractions in Casablanca but the city is more like a business capital of the country. We talked with a guy from Lebanon who said he had his business in Casablanca on a train from the Casablanca's airport toward the city center, asked he, "Why did you choose Casablanca? Why not other touristy cities like, Marrakech?". Oh well, Casablanca had the cheapest flight from Barcelona among all the other cities in Morocco, and we would only stay in the country for 3 days anyway so what we do there wasn't actually a matter. We just wanted to experience Morocco, whichever the city it was.
Saying goodbye to Barcelona for a few days.
At Rick's cafe, the bar that was designed after Rick's American Cafe appeared in the film, Casablanca. We knew that the film itself wasn't actually made in Casablanca but in Hollywood, but we still wanted to go visit the bar to say, "Here's looking at you, kid".
